Details: What is this? Basically, it is a CD full of freeware software that you pop in and are presented with the list of the software that you can choose to install. Choose what you want and click the button titled 'Install Selected Software' and watch it go to work. All software has been configured to install without any user interaction. It utilizes the fact that most software installers support silent (or unattended) switches. Nothing in life is easier than this. Best of all, it is expandable. If you want to add your own software, simply add your software to the project and add a few lines to a config.ini file. Full instructions on how to do this are provided in the root of the CD. This new version has lots of goodies. New software, support for MSI installers and a slicker interface, just to name a few. Give it a try and I guarantee you will be packing this CD with you when you need to set up a computer or help out a friend. Screenshot:
Yes, all the software (and more) listed in the above screenshots are on this disc. In all, this project currently includes over 60 excellent software programs that cover a wide variety of needs (audio, video, photo, documents, backup, security, system cleaning, etc). Simply download it and burn it to a blank CD. The software included in this project are all freeware from other software developers. What MassiveRun does is install that software easily without having to click a hundred 'Next' buttons. Plus, all the research for the best freeware software has been done for you - only the cream of the crop make it to MassiveRun. The software included here are absolute gems. Full documentation including software descriptions, version numbers and how to modify this project are on the disc. This is an ISO image, so you will need a program to burn it to CD. If you do not have one, I suggest downloading this freeware ISO burning software: http://www.ntfs.com/iso-burning.htm The current release is version 1.3 on Nov 6, 2010. All software are current versions as of that date. The next four links talk about what the software on this project does, their version numbers and other general information about this project.
